3rd Chadderton Scout Group

Our History

OUR GROUP
 

The Group was formed back in 1956 and has met at St George’s Church since then, we are a busy Group with three sections and 40 young people.  These young people are supported by 11 adult volunteers, 7 Young Leaders and many parents.  We currently have a Beaver Section, a Cub Section and a Scout Section.

Our Group is part of Oldham Borough Scout District and more information about the District can be found by viewing www.oldhamboroughscouts.co.uk. The District of Oldham is part of wider County, Greater Manchester North (see www.gmnscouts.org.uk for more information).  There are currently over 20 different Scout Groups in Oldham and over 100 in the County.  We are proud to be part of such a large, diverse and supportive movement as Scouts.
